The Deluxe Multi-Colored Snail Combo Pack includes 15 Mystery Snails of 5 different colors: gold, blue, black, ivory, and albino. Our large Mystery Snail have dual benefits — they look like rainbow aquarium decorations and act as natural fish tank clearers! These lovely live snails consume uneaten fish food, and they reduce the need for an aquarium conditioner by wiping off glass, aquatic plants, and aquarium décor. These peaceful snails grow up to 3 inches in diameter and are safe with nonaggressive aquarium fish, freshwater shrimp, other aquarium snails (such as Nerite Snails, Japanese Trapdoor Snails, etc.) or aquarium plants (including Marimo Balls). Compared to other freshwater snails, Mystery Snails are characteristically more playful and can often be found “playing” over an air bubble stone, extending their antennae in search of food, and climbing up the aquarium filter tube to the water line to breathe. Because of this, ensure the water line in your aquarium is low enough or keep an aquarium lid (such as a mesh aquarium cover) in place so your snails cannot escape. We often ship smaller sized (.5 to 1.5 inches) snails so you can enjoy them longer and watch them grow. A young Mystery Snail can double in size over the course of two weeks to months. Freshwater snails such as these are sensitive to nitrates, etc., so we recommend using an aquarium test kit or aquarium reader and consider buying a nitrate, nitrite, and/or ammonia remover aquarium treatment. Be careful if you use limescale remover in your tank, as it can damage snail shells.
